E. P. Ocampo Law Offices and its founder, Atty. Eliseo P. Ocampo, and senior associates have collectively chalked up an unblemished record of more than 50 years experience in corporate and court litigation practice.
His top-level experience in corporate business and finance and in public administration (BSP, DBP, and GMTFM-FTI) Atty. Ocampo has put to good use by undertaking, through the Institute of Continuing Legal Studies and Education, which the Law Office manages, innovative and pioneering projects for the benefit of the legal profession and a more efficient administration of justice, specially the following:
- The design and conduct of public and in-house seminars on subjects which practicing lawyers are ordinarily not familiar with, among them corporate mergers and acquisitions; the legal aspects of e-commerce; the nitty-gritty of the anti-money laundering law; and the regulatory framework for commodity futures trading,
- The establishment of a paralegal services delivery system in the country through a Paralegal Service Bureau, which pools and organizes qualified graduates of paralegal and law management courses as well as law students, and makes them readily available to perform specific legal tasks at reasonable ratges under the supervision of competent full-fledged lawyers for the benefit of the Bureau's client-subscribers composed of law firms, independent law practitioners with established law offices, legal departments of public (government) offices and agencies, and business and non-profit corporations and entities with legal units.
- In connection with paragraph 2 above, the management of a paralegal study program in collaboration with Arellano University.
- The design and conduct of a special 36-unit MCLE course for practicing lawyers that will enable the lawyer-enrollees to fully comply with the mandatory continuing legal education requirements prescribed by the Supreme Court for practicing lawyers every three years.
- The publication of legal tracts and position papers, among them "The Legal Framework for the protection of patents" and "Reinventing the existing presidential system into a Federal-Parliamentary form of Government."
The Law office is also initiating socialized pricing of legal services through a service tie-up with the Paralegal Services Bureau of the aforementioned Institute.
